Welcome to Newman International Academy of Cedar Hill Secondary
Here we partner with parents and community to raise warriors of Wisdom, Stature and Favor.
NICH is a Pre-K through 12th grade tuition-free public charter school that offers college-prep with Associate degree opportunities in a classical environment, with an emphasis on the whole-child approach, character development, academics, foreign languages, championship athletics, STEM, fine arts, robotics, chess, Civil Air Patrol, horse-riding, and animal science programs.
Formerly recognized as Northwood University, the 300-acre NICH campus is one of the most beautiful campuses in Dallas County and is conveniently located off FM 1382, neighboring Cedar Hill State Park.

Arrival, Tardy & Early Dismissal
Tardy Times
Students who arrive after the times below are marked tardy for the day.

If your student arrives after the designated tardy time, a parent or guardian should accompany the student to the appropriate front office to receive a tardy slip before the student reports to class. This helps ensure every student is properly checked in and arrives safely at their classroom.
Early Dismissal
Cutoff for all NICH buildings
2:30 PM
After this time, students and staff begin preparing for regular dismissal. Early dismissal requests cannot be accommodated once the dismissal transition has begun.
Please observe campus arrival, dress code and student conduct expectations so that every Warrior can begin the day prepared.

To keep scholars supervised, the campus office may be briefly closed during morning arrival and will close 30 minutes before afternoon dismissal.
